Dear Parents and Guardians, on Monday, August 26, through a gracious donation, Mrs. Charging Hawk handed out new backpacks to all the kiddos here at Norris Elementary. We are grateful for the blessings and help that we receive. Parents, we wrote your child's name on the bottom front of their backpacks.
Greetings Parents and Guardians! Welcome back to a great new school year! We are excited about the growth and learning here at Norris Elementary! Please make sure that you are sending your child to school every day. We have clothing order forms at the school if you need to fill one out. The Black Pipe Singers are in full swing and ready for another prosperous year! Oyate ki wica ki unlowanpi! We sing for the People!
Thank you to all the parents for having your child ready and at school! Attendance is key to your child's success. We have an open-door policy here at Black Pipe, feel free to stop in here at the school to visit!
Norris Elementary will be having Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, April 25th from 4-8. We will have early dismissal at 3:15. We encourage all parents and guardians to come and check on their child's progress. Please come and support the hard work your child and teacher have accomplished.
On Wednesday, April 24th, Norris Elementary will be attending the White River School District Health Fair in White River. The students will be leaving after breakfast, at 8:45, and returning home to school before lunch.
The Norris Eagle will have their last home basketball game on Tuesday at 4:15 pm.
School Board meeting tonight at Norris Elementary at 6:30 pm. Parents and guardians please come and show your support. The Black Pipe Singers will be performing.
The Black Pipe Singers of Norris Elementary will be performing at the State Capitol tomorrow, January 10. The event is scheduled to begin at noon. This event will be live-streamed at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/TribalSD

Dear Parents and Guardians, I hope this letter finds you healthy and safe. I am pleased to announce to you a special historic event happening here at the school. Black Pipe Singers at Norris Elementary have been invited to perform for the Legislative Rotunda at the State Capitol in Pierre, South Dakota on January 10, 2024.
Superintendent Krogman has graciously agreed to take a parent bus up to the Capitol for the parents, guardians, and community members to participate and viewing of the performance.
There will be a big bus transporting everyone to Pierre. The bus will be at the school at 9:30 and the bus will be departing at 10:00 am, with the performance at noon (12 o’clock). If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at the school at 605-462-6455.

It's official, the Black Pipe Singers of Norris Elementary will be performing at the State Tribal Relations Day on the Capitol Rotunda in Pierre! The event will be held on January 10, 2024, with the performance beginning at 12:00 p.m. Please see the formal invitation attached to this message.

IHS Public Health Nursing will be in the Janklow Room on Oct 5th at 9:00 a.m. offering flu shots. These are for IHS-eligible students and staff. The nursing staff will go to Norris after they finish in White River. Please contact the school your child attends if you have any questions.
