Dear White River Elementary Parents/Guardians:
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of one of our elementary students this past weekend. This morning, the school counselor, nurse, and principal visited the 1st-5th grade classrooms and informed them of their friend's passing. As a united school community, they took care to answer any questions and provide comfort. Counselors from both the school and Southern Plains are available for students and staff and will remain available to help with the loss of the student. If you notice that your child is struggling or feeling overwhelmed, please contact the school, and we will ensure that he or she has the opportunity to access the support.

The Homecoming Parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Main Street.
