A Message from the SUPERINTENDENT

Welcome to the White River School District website. We are glad you are visiting with us electronically. The information provided at this web site is intended to assist parents, patrons, staff and students in finding or researching information of interest. 

​White River School District is located in south central South Dakota in Mellette County and includes the communities of White River and Norris. The district serves just over 400 students and has a general fund budget of approximately $4 million dollars. 

​Our district schools include: 

​Norris Elementary serves K-5 with an enrollment of about 50 students.

White River Elementary serves PK-5 with an enrollment of about 175 students.

White River Middle School serves grades 6-8 with an enrollment of about 90 students.

White River High School serves grades 9-12 with an enrollment of about 110 students.

White River School District continues to strive to meet the educational goals established by our Board of Education. We look forward to meeting the educational challenges of our students today and into the future.
