White River School’s Success at the South Dakota LNI Art Show
The White River School is incredibly proud to have participated in the South Dakota LNI (Lakota Nation Invitational) Art Show, where our students showcased their creativity and talent in a variety of artistic categories. This year, we submitted an impressive total of 90 artworks to the competition, and the results were outstanding!
Our students earned recognition in multiple categories, with some taking home top honors. In Ceramics, Dennessa Red Elk brought home 1st place with her beautifully crafted vase, while Tyson White Hat earned 2nd place for his stunning mug. Both pieces demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship and creativity.
In Printmaking, Jovanna Dillon captured the judges' attention with her striking mushroom print, which earned her 1st place. Maleyah Krogman also shone in this category, earning 2nd place for her unique and thoughtful design.
In Multi Media/Graphic Design, Samuel Beardt was a standout artist, winning both 1st place and 3rd place for his innovative designs. Samuel’s work clearly impressed the judges, and his ability to excel in this competitive category was remarkable.
The hard work and dedication of our students contributed to White River School earning 3rd place overall in the art show, out of more than 22 participating schools. This is an amazing achievement, and it’s a testament to the incredible talent and creativity of our students.
We are beyond proud of our young artists, and their success in the LNI Art Show is a reflection of the strong artistic community we have at White River.
Congratulations
to all of the students who participated, and we look forward to continuing to foster creativity and excellence in the years to come.
