The Boys Basketball Cheerleaders of WRHS hosted a pep rally for the Boys Basketball Team on Tuesday, March 12. The Tigers were preparing for their 19th consecutive trip to the State B's in Aberdeen. The Pep Rally opened with the middle school band playing Go Big White and Here We Go Tigers!
The cheerleaders prepared a game for the Boys basketball team to take on some of the past basketball players and some of the staff. The first game was a free throw contest and the first team to make 6 free throws continued on with the game. The second part of the contest was a Cheer jump! The basketball team had to jump against the staff member! The audience applauded and screamed for who they thought was the winner. It was quite fun to watch some of the staff do a jump- they did rather well! The final contest was a dunking contest between Jordan Uhlir and Link Tucker. Nic Marshall and Jordan Uhlir completed an impressive dunk when Nic bounced the ball off the back board in which Jordan caught and slammed!
The basketball team, seniors, and coaches had a few moments to talk about their season and thanked everyone for their support.
The Cheerleaders ended the pep rally with cheers coming from the crowd including the elementary, middle school, and high school.
