Southern Plains Behavioral Health of Winner hosted a butterfly release in White River on September 14 at the City Park at 4:00 PM. This even was held as part of Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month.
Several students and staff attended the event. Southern Plains shared statistics about suicide, the warning signs of suicide, letters from family members who lost a family member to suicide, and a video of a man who who is a suicide survivor.
Southern Plains had refreshments, handouts, and other items promoting the BeThe1sd.com website and 988 suicide prevention hotline.
